Main Topics
Requirements: 1 Account Manager, 1 Systems Engineer, 1 Field Engineer; Bring wi-fi enabled laptop to course The Collaboration market has many vendors and this market is being transformed by the adoption of the cloud device over traditional PC clients. Multi-vendor Collaboration lends itself to being a cloud solution and is therefore also a Multi-vendor server solution using Cisco and VMware technologies. Cisco and Microsoft represent the largest and the most immediate opportunity for Multi-vendor collaboration. Microsoft has the majority share of the desktop market and Cisco the majority market share of IP based infrastructure and communication solutions. The next logical step is to integrate Microsoft desktop applications such as MOC & Lync with the Cisco Collaboration platform thus liberating the majority of the installed base of both Vendors to enhance their Collaboration capability. Microsoft and Cisco server consolidation is the obvious first step in your Virtualization journey and is supported by Cisco’s UC on UCS technology utilising the VMware platform. The Collabor8 Program of AM, SE and FE workshops have been very successful in terms of training the Cisco Partner channel how to integrate Microsoft and Cisco technologies, specifically MOC & Lync with CUCM. This v3 content and labs is now updated to incorporate UC on UCS and Cloud implementations of Multi vendor Collaboration solutions. |
